about me

My name is Ewa Walkowska. I am a Polish visual artist working mainly through painting and drawing, and the founder of Artive Workshop.

Artive grew out of my own need for a space that feels closer to a real studio than to a classroom. A place where people can work seriously, without pressure, and where art is part of everyday life.

But it also grew out of my personal experience of living abroad.

Moving countries changed not only how I see everyday life, but also how important creative spaces can be. I felt how difficult it can be to build connections and to find places where you don’t have to first “belong” in order to participate.

I wanted to create a studio that is not only about drawing and painting, but also about building an open, international community around art.

My background combines independent artistic practice with academic studies in architecture, and years of developing my own way of working as an artist.

In Artive, I bring this experience into a shared studio environment, where technique, observation, intuition, and personal projects can exist together.
